The HEMS 220™ Power Monitors come in two versions. The HEMS 220™ Dual Outlet AC wall socket, which is used as a tamper proof
approach, is installed into the home or residency walls and replaces the standard wall outlets. It is designed for permanent installation
as a non-intrusive device. The other version, HEMS 220™ Single Outlet wall plug-in, is a portable plug-in unit similar in size to
a Glade™ Plug-in.
The HEMS 220™ unit has a short range radio, called HEMS-TXR™ radio module, which provides the wireless peer to peer networking communications capabilities of the HEMS 220™ device and is part of the mesh network environment within the home system.
The power monitor tracks real time electricity usage of whatever appliance is plugged into its socket and has scheduling ON/OFF built in. The meter readings are sent to the central node gateway, HEMSPlug 2000™, for processing and logging.
