Thu 01/01/2009 HEMS Technology will be offering the Digi International XBee™ radio modules as part of its ZigBee™ communications option. The XBee™ mesh radios offer 802.15.4 interoperability with existing industry products making the HEMS-DR™ home network and the HEMS 220™ Power Monitors easily integrated with other ZigBee™ based networks and products.
Mon 12/08/2008 HEMS Technology received notice from the Underwriters Laboratory of the certification UL 916 for the HEMS 220™ appliance power monitor which makes the HEMS product line UL listed. UL 916 is designated to those products that meet stringent Energy Management Equipment tests as well as the Canadian CSA standard. The HEMS 220™ product also received its FCC certification for the HEMS-TXR™ mesh networked radio module integrated within.
Tue 12/02/2008 The HEMS-TXR™ USB mesh networked radio dongle received its FCC certification allow the company a USB to PC connection for its OpenRF radio architecture. The USB radio plug-in is part of the HEMS-DR home network and the home kit being offered to consumers.
Tue 7/1/2008 HEMS Technology today announced the appointment of technology industry veteran Vikram K. Desai as Chief Executive Officer. Desai has nearly twenty years of consistent success in the communications, hardware and software industries. Vik was President and CEO of Viziant Corporation, a leading innovator in Discovery, the next evolution in search and text analysis, before coming to HEMS. As Chief Operating Officer of Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), Desai led the company to record customer growth, fueled by successful expansion into the application security market, and the establishment of key strategic relationships with blue chip customers. HEMS Technology is honored to have this veteran entrepreneur at the helm leading us to a new level in global markets.
Sun 4/29/2007 HEMS Technology has strategically partnered with The Realtime Group (www.therealtimegroup.com) in developing the HEMS-DR™ Wireless mesh network for electricity and energy efficiency management. The Realtime Group has product development experience in medical devices, automotive/industrial controls, avionics/military electronic systems, and communications-electronics systems. They are also taking the investor role by investing into HEMS Technology and its business model. We are thrilled to be able to work with Marshall Wenrich, owner and president, and his development team for the purpose of launching our line of product offers to the electric utility industry. Marshall and his staff bring another professional dimension to HEMS Technology’s R&D efforts.
Mon 5/14/2007 HEMS Technology has partnered with OpenRF open standards organization for its OpenRF™ development platform. OpenRF™ is an embedded wireless platform that provide a state-of-the art tree-mesh networking protocol, an event-driven application framework, and a 250mW 900 MHz FHSS hardware reference design. It is available at no cost with some restrictions for companies who agree to abide by and sign the licensing requirements. Information and licensing sign-up can be done through the OpenRF™ website (http://www.openrf.com). It is the perfect alternative to standards-based solutions or proprietary solutions from radio module companies.
Fri 7/18/2007 HEMS Technology incorporates the BIAS Power Chip (www.biaspower.com) into its HEMS 220™ product line. By utilizing the power chip, the HEMS 220™ can be used globally.
